Eight is Great!

Brady celebrated his 8th month birthday on Thanksgiving Day and he celebrated with his first taste of Turkey--all mushed together with butternut squash of course.  And after 2 weeks of sleepless nights, we are happy to report on the arrival of two bottom teeth.  I sort of had a hunch he wouldn't sleep through the night until he was done nursing.  He slept through the night one night and then the teething began, but I'm happy to report that last night he slept from 8pm to 7am and so did Mommy and Daddy (well we went to bed at 10:30, but didn't have to get up at 2am and again at 5am).

Brady continues to be a happy smiley baby and is adored by everyone.  He laughs and giggles when being tickled and loves to watch his big sister.  He is doing to learn so much from her (like how to jump on the couch when mommy isn't looking and how to use crayons on the chalk board)

The baby gate has reappeared in the Kron House as Brady is an explorer and loves to crawl everywhere.  When he is not crawling, he is standing and testing his balance.  The teachers at school think he'll be walking in another month--OMG is all I can say.

He has started having an interest in toys and will even cry if you take one away from him.  He loves his sofie the giraffe teether, pink elephant, and pretty much anything Chloe is playing with at the moment.

He continues to explore new foods, trying turkey, green beans, zucchini, apricots, oatmeal, but his favorite food seems to be bananas.

Happy 8 month birthday Brady Samuel!

What happens when Mom is not looking

Brady has become quite active and we have realized our house needs more baby proofing.

Every chance he gets, he is crawling over, under, in between everything.

Little Devil

Brady had a great time at his first Rose Bowl tailgate. Too bad it was just for the ASU at UCLA game and not the real thing. Hopefully he won't have to wait too long to witness his first Rose Bowl.

Pumpkin Time!

Brady had alot of fun celebrating halloween at the Schnepf Farms Pumpkin and Chili & Pumpkin Festival.
Dressed in his Buzz Lightyear halloween costume, Brady loved standing next to the pumpkin and
feeling the straw.

Standing at 7!

It has been a very active month for Brady.  It started with sitting, then his infamous lean, and now standing.
Yes, I said standing.  We just can't believe it.  He seems to have gotten a taste of freedom and wants it all at once.  He has impressed all of his teachers at school--they even say he tries to stand with no hands.

He is getting much better at eating solid foods and even opens his mouth and squeals for his bottle.  So far he has tried apples, sweet potato, carrots, avacado, peas, banana, rice cearal, and oatmeal.

Still no sign of teeth yet, but the constant drooling and night time fussiness lead us to believe that one has to poke out sooner rather than later.   He has slept completely through the night 1 time, which makes for a very tired Mommy and Daddy, but at least he is now going to bed at the same time as his sister and they enjoy story time together every night.  He loves to squeal and babble and says bababababa and mamamamama and motorboats with his mouth.  Brady is looking forward to his first Halloween next week.

Brady Crawls

Brady Celebrates his 1/2 Birthday

Brady turned 1/2 on September 25th and his 6 month of life has been a very busy one.  It started with the introduction of solid foods and has progressed to sitting, crawling, and even pulling himself up to standing.  Brady is a hefty baby, but at 16 pounds 11 ounces he is only in the 33rd percentile in weight at at 25.5 inches he has gownn 5.5 inches since birth and is in the 16th percentile.  He was perfectly healthy at his 6 month check up and did great with his shots.  It is amazing to see his transformation from snuggly infant to curious crawler.
Time to lower Brady's Crib. He is sitting up and ready to pounce.

I don't know why this picture is sideways, but we lowered the crib and now he is standing and jumping so time to lower it all the way down.

Such a big boy.  He is crawling and chasing after his big sister and getting into everything.

He is slowly starting to sleep through the night and has slept from about 8pm to 4am most nights this week, but when he is up he is up and ready to play.  He loves playing with balls, rattles, and squeaky toy.  He babbles, and squeels, hums, and jabbers--sometime very loudly.  He continues to be a smiley happy baby and we just love him so much.

Adventures in Eating Part 2

Sweet Potato
Brady is getting much better at eating and has tried apples, sweet potato, and bananas.  So far his favorite is apples and bananas mixed together. Next up is green stuff--avacado!  Should make for great pictures.

Adventures in Eating

Brady just turned 6 months old and that means adventures in eating began. We started rice cereal a few weeks ago, but last night Brady had his first taste of applesauce.

Laughs with Daddy

Brady loves laughing when Daddy is around.

Brady Pics!

50% Mom+50% Dad = 100% Me

I think I saw a whale.

Mom and Dad keep giving me football toys-I think they are trying to brainwash me.

Ok--I get it. I love football!

Go Devils!

Such a happy smile!

Hi, I'm Brady!

Cinco!

Wow.  5 months old.  We can't believe how big our little Brady is getting.  He is such a happy, smiley baby.  He is still rolling and rolling around, but now can actually get up on all fours and rock back and forth.  No real crawling yet, but he scoots and rolls his way around the living room.  He loves playing with his feet, ruff-ruff dog, giraffe, and ASU Football.  He also loves to swing and sit in his bouncy chair.  Brady has discovered that Mommy and Daddy have noses and loves to grab them and try to eat them.  He also loves to watch his big sister and listen to her read him stories before bed.  He has started to eat rice cereal.  He wants to grab at the spoon and the bowl and likes to make a mess--I can tell he is going to be a good eater.  He is still not sleeping through the night, but goes to sleep very easily at about 8pm, he wakes up once or twice and wants his binky or to nurse.  We had our first night of all four of us being up at the same time in the middle of the night--lets hope that doesn't happen again.  I'm looking forward to him sleeping though the night.
Happy 5 month birthday Brady Boo!

4 Month Check Up

We thought this little chubster was going to top the charts when we took him to the doctor for his 4 month check up.  He's a solid boy and weighed in at 14 lbs 14 ounces which only puts him in the 32% for weight. He has grown 4.5 inches since birth and is in the 19th percentile for height at 24.5 inches.

Brady celebrated his 4 month birthday by rolling all around.  He can roll from back to belly and from belly to back and has started to sleep with his arms out of his swaddle.  This caused some disruption in his sleep for a little while, but he is back to going to bed between 8 and 9pm and waking up only once around 3 or 4am most nights.

Brady has also discovered his feet and that he can put his hands and toys in his mouth.  He is becoming quite the little talker as well.  He is cooing, gurgling, motor-boating, and sometimes doing it quite loudly.

He has a very strong appetite and is still eating about every 2-3 hours.  In his first month at school he used up all my frozen breast milk storage and is now having about 25% of his intake as formula.

He gets lots of love from his big sister. She enjoys finding his binky when he drops it and showing him how to play with his toys.  She often has long conversations with him that only the two of them can understand.

Brady is also starting to squirm around--not really crawling yet but he can definately move.  Often I leave him on his nice comfy blanket and turn around to find him in all sorts of positions.  Like on this particular day when he managed to scoot under the futon.

A Ruff Ruff for Brady

Brady is already trying to be like his big sister.  He has a ruff-ruff of his very own!

Freedom!!

Ok, so I'm watching Braveheart as I'm posting this.  But it seemed like an appropriate title for this post.
Happy 4th of July!

Just Call Me Flipper

Just in time, when mommy has to go back to work, Brady is becoming a pretty good sleeper. He still is not very consistant, but some nights he has slept 9 or 10 hours without waking.   On this particular day, I woke up and took a look at the monitor and all I saw was feet.  His head is supposed to go to the top of the crib by the mobile, so somehow he managed to flip himself more about 180 degrees.  He is still sleeping here, but I had to grab a picture.

Say Uncle!

Brady in his maroon and gold with Uncle Kfir at his college graduation. Maybe one day the roles will be reversed. Except I don't think Brady will be carrying Uncle Kfir =)

Brady getting some swimming lessons from his Uncle Bryan.  Maybe another Navy Rescue Swimmer will be in the family one day.

3 Months Old

Happy 3 Month Birthday Brady.

Yay for Mommy taking pictures each month, Boo for Mommy not putting a stuffed animal or other object in the picture so we can see how much he has grown.  I didn't think about it until seeing all three pictures next to each other and the 2 and 3 month pics looking so similar.  Maybe I'll remember for the next kid (just kidding--or am I?).

Mommy has to go back to work, so this month Brady is getting ready for his first day of school which is July 6th.  He'll be at the JCC with Chloe and all of the teachers can't wait for him to start.  Brady is less and less like a newborn everyday and has even managed to sleep through the night a handful of times, however, he is not very consistant.  One night he'll sleep 7 hours straight, the next he will wake up twice.  He can sit up in his bumbo seat, grab onto a blanket, rattle or your fingers. He smiles so big and is starting to laugh and "talk" in his own baby language.  He can bring both his hands together and sometimes likes to suck on them, but he still has not discovered that he has feet yet.  Tummy time is not his favorite, but he can lift himself up for a bit and then gets tired and ends up face down in his own drool.   He is a good eater and is a strong and solid baby.   No doctor check up this month, but he will go back next month for a visit and more shots.
