Eleven Months

Brady's 11th month was one of transitions--transitioning from baby to toddler.
He said bye bye to his binky.  He started sleeping through the night most nights of the week. His clothes have less puppy dogs and froggys and more skateboards and surfboards. We are training on the sippy cup and spoon and as you can see, meal time has gotten quite messy.  He is taking more and more steps but still loves to push his pink stroller. His day care reports often report about the stoller races Brady and his friend Ben have through the hallways. He loves to play with toys and often cries when he has to stop playing.  He is babbling more and more and we are pretty sure he has said "Daddy" and sometimes it sounds like he says "All done" when he is finished with his bottle.

A shave and a soak.

He doesn't have much hair, but the hair he does have was getting a little out of control. So his daddy gave him his first haircut.

He loved the clippers and laughed and laughed.

Now time for a bath. Brady loves to splash in the water and play with all his toys.

Big Boy Brady

Who is this big boy who ate my little baby? Brady is getting so big. We just can't believe he is 10 months old already.
While he still isn't walking on his own, he loves to walk while pushing his stroller. He'll even go and pull it out  of the corner of the room all by himself to go for a walk around the house.  We've seen him take about 3-5 steps on his own, but he seems perfectly happy crawling around.  He loves to keep up with his big sister and wants to play with everything she plays with--stickers, markers, chalk, crayons and everything else that is a choking hazard.  He is eating more and more finger foods and practicing with a sippy cup. He also wants to hold a spoon when I'm feeding him and trys to feed himself.  His favorite toys are still his little fisher price people and his glow worm.  He is still teething (or maybe it is screeming for no reason), but he still doesn't have any top front teeth and he seems to come down with a fever every other week. But other than that he is healthy and still full of smiles.

Brady 9.0

Playing, babbling, eating, walking, climbing, falling, bleeding, sleeping. These are just some of the activities that little Brady Boo is up to these days.  He officially turned 9 months on Christmas Day and weighed in this month at just under 20 pounds and 27 inches and had a perfect bill of health.  He is just such a happy little guy and we are treasuring every moment with him.  2012 was going to be the year of the sleeping baby and we spent the first couple nights of the new year trying to ferberize him to help him sleep through the night.  A couple of nights of middle of the night crying and us wide awake, but I'm happy to report that he  has slept through the night more in 2012 than in all the nights of 2011.  Mommy and Daddy thank you Brady!  He also took his first steps both at school and at home and we were lucky enough to capture them on video.  With those first steps also came the first boo boos.  A cut lip that bothered us more that it bothered him. He was such a little trooper through it all.  He is starting to eat puffs and enjoys a variety of foods.  His favorite is still bananas, but we've introduced potatoes (yellow, red, and even blue), prunes, cauliflower, zucchini, and apricots.  He loves playing with all the cars he got for Hanukkah and Christmas, and loves to sleep with his blah blah doggy and little lion. He also loves to play in Chloe's Kitchen and his favorite toy food is a fake corn on the cob. He carries it around with him everywhere.  When Chloe's not looking, he gets to play with the alphabet magnets on the fridge.  He also has learned how to open cabinets.  --oh boy, the fun is just beginning.

Eight is Great!

Brady celebrated his 8th month birthday on Thanksgiving Day and he celebrated with his first taste of Turkey--all mushed together with butternut squash of course.  And after 2 weeks of sleepless nights, we are happy to report on the arrival of two bottom teeth.  I sort of had a hunch he wouldn't sleep through the night until he was done nursing.  He slept through the night one night and then the teething began, but I'm happy to report that last night he slept from 8pm to 7am and so did Mommy and Daddy (well we went to bed at 10:30, but didn't have to get up at 2am and again at 5am).

Brady continues to be a happy smiley baby and is adored by everyone.  He laughs and giggles when being tickled and loves to watch his big sister.  He is doing to learn so much from her (like how to jump on the couch when mommy isn't looking and how to use crayons on the chalk board)

The baby gate has reappeared in the Kron House as Brady is an explorer and loves to crawl everywhere.  When he is not crawling, he is standing and testing his balance.  The teachers at school think he'll be walking in another month--OMG is all I can say.

He has started having an interest in toys and will even cry if you take one away from him.  He loves his sofie the giraffe teether, pink elephant, and pretty much anything Chloe is playing with at the moment.

He continues to explore new foods, trying turkey, green beans, zucchini, apricots, oatmeal, but his favorite food seems to be bananas.

Happy 8 month birthday Brady Samuel!

What happens when Mom is not looking

Brady has become quite active and we have realized our house needs more baby proofing.

Every chance he gets, he is crawling over, under, in between everything.
